Chief Financial Officer (and associate)

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for managing GTJ’s finances.
Responsibilities include:
1) Maintain a clear and publicly available account of all revenue and expenses.
2) Record all taxable revenue (advertisements, products, events).
3) Record all tax-exempt revenue (donations, grants).
4) File IRS form 990 at the end of fiscal year.
5) Produce regular reports on financial state of GTJ.
6) Maintain budget.

Director of Development (and Associate Director)
The Director of Development is responsible for advancing GTJ’s tax-deductible fundraising.
Responsibilities include:
1) Create a GTJ development plan.
1) Identify potential donors (individuals, foundations, and companies).
4) Communicate with potential donors
2) Identify potential grants.
3) Draft grant proposals.

Director of Advertisements (and Associate Director)
The Director of Advertisement is responsible for selling advertisements on GTJ’s website and newsletter.
Responsibilities include:
1) Creating a GTJ advertising plan.
2) Identifying potential customers.
3) Maintain communication with customers.

Director of Marketing (and Associate Director)
The Director of Marketing is responsible for promoting GTJ.
Responsibilities include:
1) Creating a GTJ marketing plan.
2) Promoting GTJ at events.
3) Reaching out to Jewish media.
4) Reaching out to secular media.
5) Writing press releases and news updates.
6) Working with other

Director of Events (and Associate Director)
The Director of Events is responsible for developing and coordinating GTJ events.
Responsibilities include:
1) Creating a GTJ event plan.
2) Preparing events.
3) Coordinating events.

Director of the Calendar (and Associate Director)
The Director of the Calendar is responsible for maintaining GTJ’s central calendar.
Responsibilities include:
1) Work with organization ambassadors to oversee calendar updates.
2) Work with Jewish D.C. organizations to promote outside updates.
3) Maintain current knowledge of Jewish events in D.C. to ensure calendar accuracy.

Director of Jewish Girl/Guy/Mitzvah Maker of the Week (JGOTWs) (and Associate Director)
The Director of JGOTWs is responsible for the highlights section of the GTJ website.
Responsibilities include:
1) Recruiting potential JGOTWs.
2) Developing questions.
3) Promoting JGOTWs.
4) Coordinating “of the Year” contest.

Editor of the Blog (and Associate Director)
The Editor of the Blog is responsible for maintaining GTJ’s blog.
Responsibilities include:
1) Generating new content.
2) Recruiting writers.
3) Maintaining high quality.
4) Promoting readership.

Director of Website (and Associate Director)
The Director of the Website is responsible for maintaining GTJ’s website.
Responsibilities include:
1) Updating content.
2) Optimizing “searchability.”
3) Designing new pages.

Director of Technology (and Associate Director)
The Director of Technology is responsible for maintaining GTJ’s blog.
Responsibilities include:
1) Generating new content.
2) Recruiting writers.
3) Maintaining high quality.
4) Promoting readership
