Rachel: What brought you to DC?
Heather: I Grew up in Silver Spring, so I’ve lived in the DC area my entire life.

Rachel: You work for B’nai B’rith International.  What do you do?
Heather: I am the Program and Advocacy Associate, but I basically do anything that needs to get done.  Last month, I planned a diplomatic luncheon with the Japanese Ambassador and this month I will be spending a week at B’nai B’rith Perlman Camp staffing the B’nai B’rith Senior Resident Leadership Retreat.

Rachel: What is your favorite Jewish holiday?
Heather: Simchat Torah!!!  I love all the joyous energy, dancing, and the growing anticipation as the Torah readers make their way from the end of Deuteronomy to the beginning of Genesis.  Last Simchat Torah I went to 6th and I and had the best time taking shots and dancing in the street!

Rachel: What is your favorite Jewish food?380891_2280254045521_1165073427_n
Heather: I love it all, especially cooking/baking it!

Rachel: Who is the coolest Jew?
Heather: I might be just a little bit bias… but I would have to go with David Polonsky, the Director of Communications at Adas Israel.  Maybe you’ve met him at Shir Delight?  Wait!  I changed my mind! … Idina Menzel.

Rachel: Finish the sentence: When the Jews gather…
Heather: …it’s always happy hour!
