Aaron: What brought you to DC?
David: I grew up in the DC suburbs- in Bethesda, Maryland and attended the Jewish Day School in Rockville. I went to GW for undergrad. After graduation, I moved to New York for a few years and attended law school. Now I am back in the DC area, living in the Dupont area.

Aaron: We heard you work you’re involved with FIDF. How was your event this weekend?
David: FIDF is a great organization that raises money to support the educational and recreational needs of soldiers serving in the IDF.  On Saturday night the FIDF Young Leadership DC Chapter hosted a Night in Tel Aviv.  We had over 325 people at the best party DC has ever seen! Many thanks to DJ Itay Galo– Tel Aviv’s hottest DJ- who flew in for the event.  Check out pictures from the event here.  To learn more about FIDF Young Leadership DC, join our Facebook group.

FIDFAaron: Have you been to Israel? What was your favorite memory?
David: Yes, I have been to Israel five times. My favorite memory is working as a waiter on Gordon Beach in Tel Aviv.  It was great because there were mostly French tourists who spoke almost no English and forced me to polish my Hebrew.

Aaron: What is your favorite Jewish holiday?
David: My favorite Jewish holiday is Rosh Hashanah –family, friends, good food, & it marks the start of football season.

Aaron: Who is your favorite Jew?
David:  Jackie Williamowsky
