   Your poll is broken, not to mention biased, you cant answer that you would not sell your vote, and i cant even determine what the format it is looking for is, and describing the issues of environment and homosexuality in the way did frames the issues in a biased manner, what if you are for eliminating environmental restrictions and dont believe in “gay rights” whatever that means…im assuming gay marraige, what other stuff do they want? free rainbow wigs?

   I liked this poll and CAN’T WAIT to see the results, though I have a general idea of how they’ll run. Jeremy, just put in only numerical digits for the “vote-selling” question; it wasn’t that difficult to figure out.

     yeah i did eventually figure that out but usually in any figure there are commas separating every third zero, and mine had a lot of zeros, and a dollar figure is supposed to have a dollar sign and preferably a decimal taken to the hundredth representing cents. Maybe im from the old school, but this is a very dumbed-down way to represent a dollar figure, they could have at least factored the possibility that people would type the figure correctly.

     Next time you write a poll i would suggest formatting two sided issues with each view such as (gay rights/traditional marriage) or (environment/deregulation), this is not needed for general subjects like the economy.

     I am not assuming the author was biased intentionally but the format of the poll certainly is, maybe a technical writing class is in order.

   I agree with Jeremy. Why even bother to collect information when in the end the results are open to interpretation and basically worthless as an indicator of community political beliefs.

   Why bother? Because it’s fun to learn others’ opinions, even if not collected or analyzed scientifically. I think most will know to take them with a grain of salt.

   Ok here is the issue, all religious jews are likely to rate the issue of gay rights as the least of importance, since lets face it, gays are not a persecuted people and no religious jew is going to be for gay marraige, however, many religious jews consider the issue of maintaining traditional marraige very important, though since the poll describes the issue as gay rights you would never know this.

   Similarly both religious and left leaning jews take the new healthcare bill very seriously but often for different reasons, to frum jews abortion as it is normally practiced is considered murder, and the sort of passive euthenasia that socialised healthcare demands is ALWAYS considered murder, i rather feel the title healthcare is sufficient but since the left has treated universal healthcare like the coming of moshiach for so long many religious jews may consider the term healthcare synonymous with socialized medicine, and thus rate the issue far lower than they actually take it.

   Jess- The whole point we’re making is that you won’t actually learn anyone’s opinions because the survey makes it easy for people with identical opinions to answer questions differently.
