Yachad, the Jewish nonprofit for affordable housing and community development, hosted more than 150 guests at its 8th Community Builders Bash on Sunday, October 30th at the Katzen Center at American University. The event raised over $120,000 and celebrated all the good work done by Yachad and its hundreds of volunteers.
The evening’s honorees, Nancy and Alan Bubes, were presented with the Rabbi Joseph P. Weinberg Community Builder award, a beautiful sculpture designed and created by Zachary Oxman. Special guests included Mayor Vincent Gray and Council Member Jack Evans.
