Apply to FFD’s Trip to Israel

DC-area young professionals interested in careers in U.S. national security should apply for the Foundation for Defense of DemocraciesNational Security Trip to Israel.

A limited number of local applicants will be selected to take  part in a nine day trip to Israel that involves high-level meetings with senior government officials and security experts, as well as hands-on activities with Israel’s top national security practitioners.

Participants, who will be accompanied by FDD subject-matter experts throughout their trip, will have the opportunity to establish long-term relationships in the national security field.  Upon returning from the trip, they will be integrated into FDD’s alumni network, which includes mentorship opportunities, roundtable conversations and invitations to VIP events with Washington’s policymakers.

There are only 20 spots available on this unique program so apply now! Applications are due September 30.

Trip Dates: December 27, 2011 – January 4, 2012

Cost: $400

Price includes round-trip airfare from Newark and 8 days accommodation in Israel. There will be several “independent meals” during the course of the program and participants will be responsible for their own transportation to/from Newark airport.

Eligibility:

  • This trip is for people who have already visited Israel on an organized program
  • This trip is for graduate students or professionals in the areas of counterterrorism and national security
  • Participants must be based in the DC area
