Over 50 DC-area residents started new lives in Israel this year, among them a number of young professionals. Daniel Rubenstein, formerly an active member of the DC Jewish community and an employee at AIPAC, was interviewed about his recent move by the Washington Jewish Week.
“I’m thankful that I found a home in the AIPAC communications department. I refer to my time at AIPAC, and my time in Washington in general, as my ‘formative years’ because of how much I learned there,” he was quoted as saying.
Rubenstein also states that staffing a Birthright trip last year helped solidify his desire to immigrate to Israel. (For more information about Israeli travel experiences via Birthright, try to catch Jeremy, Ricki, or Jodi about town.)
