More volunteer opportunities – WEDNESDAY, 6/29

For those of you who weren’t able to make Yachad’s Mitzvah Day this past Sunday but want to take part in community service, the DC JCC has a number of great options this week.

On Wednesday, June 29, from 7:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m., Jews will gather to knit hats, scarves, gloves, and socks as part of the Handmade for the Homeless project.  Both experienced knitters/crocheters are welcome.  Please bring your own needles and RSVP here.  If you have questions about this event, please contact Sheryl at sherlinov@gmail.com.

If you want to contribute but cannot attend the event, feel free to contribute homemade woolens to the DC JCC. Contact Erica Steen at ericas@washingtondcjcc.org to make arrangements to drop them off.

Knitting not your thing? Never fear.  Also on Wednesday, June 29, at 7:00 p.m. the DC JCC will hold an informational meeting about tutoring English as a second language.  For more information, again contact Erica Steen.
