Jewish Music Festival Selling Out!

The Washington Jewish Music Festival, presented by the DC Jewish Community Center‘s Morris Cafritz Center for the Arts, kicked off this past Thursday and lasts until June 26.

Unfortunately, shows by the Maccabeats (best known for their Hanukkah hit, Candlelight) and the Klezmatics are already sold out.  But don’t worry, there are plenty of other artists for members of the community to enjoy in the upcoming days!

Indie music fans may be interested in Clare Burson‘s performance on June 23 or the slightly quirkier singer-plus-performance-artist Dan Fishback on June 22, who is being co-sponsored by GLOE.

Those who prefer a more classical music experience should check out Songs of Life: Melancholy Beauty at the Kennedy Center on June 21.  This choral-orchestral performance is a musical depiction of the largest rescue of Jews during the Holocaust.

These aren’t the only options still available and some of them are even FREE! For more information and a complete schedule, click here.
