Vote for “Soccer in the (Dupont) Circle” as the best DC event.

If you were here for the 2010 World Cup last summer, chances are that you stopped by Dupont Circle.  There, for the first time in DC history, were gathered thousands of soccer enthusiasts (or just American patriots) to watch the United States play England on jumbo screen positioned throughout the circle. (Read this Washington Post article on the event)

I loved it.  And so did everyone I talked to.  Now it’s time to show our thanks to the guys that made it possible (including the movement’s co-chair, GTJ staff member Michael Lipin).
