In case you missed it: Saturday night’s “Party for Israel”

  • Israel BannerWhat:  Saturday night’s “Party for Israel”israel banner
  • Hosts: Moshe Itzhakov, Eli Kase, and Marc Saltzman
  • Where:  Bella Café
  • Number of people: About 115
  • Dollars raised:  $512 for the Koby Mandell Foundation. The Foundation provides a place for Israeli children who are the victims or terrorist attacks.
  • What went on:  Dancing.  Lots of it.  Your GTJ reporter was a bit too occupied with his own moves, and those of his dance rival (Afraim), to take much notice of the overall skill of the attendants.  But seeing as how Vicki and a bunch of Israelis were attendance, the general dancing was probably at least decent.
  • Music:  Israeli music (as promised) with the occasional American pop song.
  • Décor:  Israeli flags and colored strobe lights (when asked where they got the 3 large Israeli flags from, the hosts responsed, “from their apartments,” in a manner suggesting that every Jew should have a large Israeli flag on display.  GTJ likes this idea).
  • Pictures:  Will soon be available on GTJ’s facebook page.
  • Final note: One party guest is missing a black pea coat with a belt.  If you accidentally walked off with a coat that is not yours, please let us know.
